While your child may outgrow clothes, shoes, and books, the bedroom furniture will have a much longer life time.  Be sure to think long term when making kids bedroom furniture choices. If you start with a good baseline of quality furniture, you will only need to change out accessories to adapt to the child’s age.

Besides the bed, the dresser is the next must have item in the room. Bigger is better since the smaller drawers will eventually be too small as your child grows.  If the room has a hardwood floor, a nice area rug can soften the play area and make the floor easier to clean. Plain neutral area rugs can achieve this but not clash with the change out of other accessories.  As your child gets older, consider adding a desk work area for studies and a place to work on individual projects.

As your child grows in preteen stage, and then the teen years, a good base of high quality furniture combined with inexpensive decorating can allow the room to meet the needs of a bedroom while reflecting the personality of your child. In the preteen years, boys may be embarrassed by the superhero them and may be interested in a Major league Baseball Furniture set. Finally, make sure to involve your child in the decorating process so they can fully express their unique personality.

These two gifts are great of the upcoming Christmas Season.  These are items that are cheap and really could be given to anyone with person who has everything.  I think I am going to buy the Polar Bear Slippers for my wife.

Google Trends is an interesting tool.  Looking through the list that is now updated daily, micro RC helicopters are in the top 100 and probably will climb further when we get closer to Christmas. We carry the Megatech RC helicopters, but they may not be small enough.  Do customers really want a helicopter that can fit in the palm of your hand and weigh only a few ounces?  They may be along the trends of the micro RC cars that cost under $30. We will soon find out.
