Made with ground turkey , the meatloaf is lighter and more moist than traditional beef or pork varieties. Yet every bit as flavorful. Serve with mashed potatoes and your family’s favorite vegetables. Ingredients needed are 2 pound turkey, 1 cup Italian style bread crumbs, ½ cup ketchup, 1 cup grate mozzarella. 1 cup finely chopped onion, 2 cloves garlic. ½ cup fresh parsley, 2 teaspoon basil, ½ teaspoon dried thyme, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper, 2 eggs slightly beaten, 2 cups pasta sauce.
Heat the oven to 350 degrees, oil a baker sheet pan, and or a roasting pan and set it aside. Combine the ingredients except the pasta sauce in a large missing bowl using your hand, mic the ingredients in a large mixing bowl to get an even mixture. Transfer the mixture to a large baking pan,shaping it into the loaf, a good size recommendation is a loaf shaped 12 inches long and 5 inches wide. Bake the turkey meatloaf for 40 minutes, then remove it from the oven and spread pasta sauce over the top. Keep baking the loaf until it is cooked through, generally about 35 minutes more. Allow meatloaf to sit in the pan for 15 minutes to set before slicing it. Makes 8 or more servings.
