Low-impact exercise bike workouts have proven to be extremely advantageous for people with injuries or for those desiring to avoid “impact” exercise. Reclining exercise bikes have been used by Physical Therapists successfully for years to strengthen the legs, ankles, knees, hips and the lower backs of their patients. Easy to sit in and dismount from in the semi-reclined position, the Stamina® Magnetic Resistance Recumbent Exercise Bike comfortably focuses you on your workout. Engineered for smoothness and quiet operation, the adjustable weighted-resistance dual-action flywheel is belt driven and is equipped with a battery powered Quickstart for gently getting started. The InTouch electronic multi-function monitor includes easy-to-read LCD displays for Time spent exercising, current Speed, Distance traveled, and even a Calories burned estimator! (Please see photo below).
Built on a heavy-duty steel frame, the lower-back supporting seat is designed like a small office chair rather than a bicycle seat. It is padded, slightly contoured, with gentle cutouts for the legs, and foam grips for the adjustable handlebar support rail. The tread-covered slip-resistant oversize foot pedals have adjustable foot straps to securely hold the feet in place and improving the pulling motion while pedaling (exercise bikes without this feature have the pushing motion only and not the more advantageous pushing/pulling motion). The seat is adjustable to move forward or back to accommodate to your height. A simple grip-edged dial knob can increase or decrease pedaling resistance through magnetic resistance. With efficient SPACEMATE® telescoping frame design, which includes wheels, you can easily store the bike.
