How to care for your Zafu Meditation Pillow The Zafu has a cotton-pleated shell that has a zipper opening, enabling you to easily add or remove buckwheat hulls. In order to clean the shell, you should first empty the buckwheat from the shell and place the buckwheat in a separate bag or other clean container. After washing the shell, make a funnel with cardboard or a plastic or paper cup and put the buckwheat back in the clean shell.
You can also spot clean the shell, but if the buckwheat gets thoroughly saturated with water while spot cleaning, it is recommended that you dry the pillow in the sun. Top of Page
