This is Panasonic's top-of-the-line Massage Recliner and has everything they offer in one fantastic chair.

Shiatsu is the shortened version of the Japanese word shiatsuryôhô: shi, finger + atsu, pressure + ryôhô, treatment. Shiatsu is the traditional Japanese finger pressure massage therapy applied to those areas of the body most often used in acupuncture. By applying pressure to these various points, the flow of vital energy, or Ki, is improved and tightened muscles relax. The Panasonic® Shiatsu Massage Lounger uses this strong, deep tissue pressure and also stretches muscles to promote health and spiritual well-being. Panasonic's Product Engineers analyzed the finger movements of professional Shiatsu Massage Therapists in order to replicate this highly developed, firm style of massage. In Shiatsu Massage mode, only two of the rubber rollers, or heads, are used to recreate the Shiatsu massaging motions. Kneading Shiatsu Massage utilizes pressure that is applied gently to an acupoint or focal point of tension (commonly refered to as a "knot"), held momentarily and then quickly released. This type of massage effectively eases soreness and reduces these points of tension.

Swedish Massage is a delicate style of massage designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and gently rubbing in the same direction as the flow of the blood returning to the heart. This Massage Therapy stimulates the capillaries in the skin and relaxes the nervous system. To simulate Swedish-style massage and replicate the feeling of a masseur's palms, the Panasonic Swede-Atsu™ Massage Chair uses four rollers.

The Panasonic® EP1061 Swede-Atsu™ incorporates realistic Massage Therapy that increases blood circulation and temporarily reduces muscle stiffness, leaving you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The patented ergonomic 27" tracking system helps keep your back strong by supporting its natural shape, while the chair also covers more of your back than any other chair from any other major manufacturer (98 square inches).

Panasonic's Rolling Massage stretches the muscles and temporarily increases blood circulation. Massage pads roll up and down each side of the spine to help stimulate spinal nerve roots and reduce minor muscular back pain.

Tapping Massage simulates the rapid tapping of hands on your back muscles. Tapping temporarily increases blood circulation, reduces muscle stiffness and enhances oxygen flow to leave you feeling invigorated and rejuvenated. Select the area to be massaged and choose up to 500 taps per minute.

Chopping Massage is a variation of the Tapping mode. Panasonics Chopping Massage style simulates a masseuse using the sides of the hands in a chopping motion against the muscles while Vibration offers a soothing, low-impact massage style to relieve stress and relax the body.

When closed, the two-speed dual position Ottoman delivers a soothing calf massage. When opened, the Ottoman massages the soles of your feet.
