The IQAir HealthPro Plus Air Purifier utilizes this V5-Cell Carbon/Charcoal Replacement Air Filter. IQAir® recommends replacing the V5-Cell Carbon/Charcoal Filters every one to two years depending upon use. Air enters through the bottom of the unit and passes through the pre-filter. Next, air particles greater than .3 microns across are trapped in the five chambers of the V5 Odor and Gas Filter. This advanced air-flow filter absorbs over 200 gaseous pollutants, especially Volatile Organic Compounds. Finally, the Cleanroom-grade HEPA Filter traps any remaining ultra-small particles, including bateria, viruses, allergens and sub-micron sized dust.
