The Atlas Cane solves a constant problem for over five million cane users in the United States alone. The Atlas Cane parkable cane was invented by Dr. G. D. Atlas, a physician with over 50 years of medical practice, for his wife, a cane user.
As an active couple who frequently dine out, Dr. Atlas became increasingly frustrated and embarrassed with the options for storing his wife's cane. Placing it on the table was a nuisance. When hanging it over the back of a chair, it was frequently knocked over by passers by. Hanging it in a remote location, such as a coat rack, meant retrieval when his wife needed to visit the lady's room and the sad look of dependence on her face. Hence, he invented the Atlas Cane.
