Over all I am very satisfied with the ultrasonic cleaner. I have found also in the meantime that a good non-abrasive toothpaste aids with the cleaning of jewerly. From my experience, it seems that once a piece of jewelry really gets tarnished that there is almost some sort of seal formed and that the tarnish will not budge with almost any jewerly tarnish removers that I have used. Toothpaste seems to break that seal. I buy jewerly from thrift shops that has obviously not been cleaned for years and years and years. I probably would not have that problem if I were just cleaning jewerly that I had bought new.
I am happy with the ultrasonic cleaner, because I know it removes more tarnish than the other ultrasonic cleaner that I was using. In fact, when I go to empty the water it looks dark gray, almost black at times. I do believe that I can use this ultrasonic machine on my personal jewelry to keep it clean and in good shape. I am over all very happy with the ultrasonic cleaner. I realize that I am a unique case, since most people ordering it probably have purchased new gold and silver jewerly and do not run into the problems that I described in paragraph one.
I hope that this information helps you. I want to be honest and not over rate the machine by telling you that you can put jewerly in it that has not been cleaned for 35 to 40 years and have it come out sparkling. But, I do feel that this machine is a good investment and I intend to use it in conjuction with toothpaste. I feel that it will definitely aid in cleaning my jewerly.
