Generally, Infratech heater clearance specifications should be mounted 6 inches from ceiling, 18 inches from walls, and 72 inches from floor. It is generally recommended that radiant heaters be mounted at an angle so that heat can be radiated from the side and not straight down. In dining situations, where customers are in one place in front of the heater, it is recommended that heaters are rated under 15 amps and used with a controller.

Infratech Electric Quartz Tube Heaters are permanently mounted out of the reach of children and pets. Since there are no open flames, the clearance requirements for mounting the Infratech heaters are minimal compared to gas radiant heaters. Additionally, each Infratech heater passes a minimum of six quality inspections before it is ready for home use. All Infratech quartz heaters are UL listed, and come with detailed installation and useage instructions.
Infratech's main component is a specially designed quartz element, which produces infrared radiant energy that travels in invisible waves. These waves reflect off of an anodized reflector and transmit through the air heating only those objects at which they are directed. Energy is not wasted by heating the air. The reflector itself is made of a special corrosion resistant alloy, an important feature for humid climates and coastal areas.

InfraTech Patio Heater Accessories
While any InfraTech Infratube Radiant Heater can be controlled by a simple over-the-counter toggle switch or circuit breaker which the home owner has installed, the optional InfraTech Input Regulator lets you adjust the heat output and dial the comfort level you desire. InfraTech's Regulators are available for either 120 or 240 volt heaters. Custom control systems are available for multi-heater installation. Infratech remote control systems allow the major portion of the control system to be mounted in a remote location near the power panel or equipment room. These remote panels house the solid state relays and fuse protection for the control systems. A simple switch box is supplied with unit for mounting. The cover plate for the remote controller is 300-series brushed stainless steel and can be connected to the main control panel with 22 gage control wire. The “W” Series Pole Mount (available for 33" and 61 1/4" heaters) allows electric infrared fixtures to be installed in open areas traditionally reserved for gas or propane units. They are frequently installed on the sides of decks or patios, to keep the area warm, without detracting from the view or creating clutter. The heater support bracket incorporates swivel brackets allowing the heater to be positioned at
the most appropriate angle. This improves efficiency and minimizes wasted energy. The attractive pole is constructed of cold rolled steel with an exterior grade Polyester TGIC powder coating, to provide years of trouble free service. Each pole comes ready to accept internal wiring and an optional heat output regulator. Over all height is approximately 85”. Base plate is 12” x 12” with pre-drilled mounting holes. Standard color is gloss white. Custom configurations and heights are available by quotation. The permanent mount pole as shown in the picture below includes rain tight flex conduit for heater wiring, 2 water tight fittings, swivel heater bracket, heater mounting hardware, and one INF Regulator in a recessed weather proof box. Pole Mount units are constructed of 2"x2" 11-gauge steel with a 15"x15"x1/4" steel base. Overall height is 7' 9" tall.
