Turn on the steam knob, wait about 10 seconds, and have all of the instant steam you want for cappuccinos or lattes. A convenient frothing tip for creating milk froth comes with the machine and delivers perfect foam every time for lattes or cappuccinos, even if you have never foamed milk before! The hot water feature is available at the turn of a dial for making tea, hot cocoa, or Americanos.

A special pre-ground coffee funnel offers the ability to make a cup of coffee from pre-ground mix and then immediately make a cup from special beans. Usability is also key to the gourmet coffee machine, the Bosch B20 has an information screen that has 12 backlit symbols to indicate everything from what mode the machine is in to when the machine needs to be cleaned.

The gourmet coffee center also has a professional quality coffee grinder that has six settings. The Benevenuto has a built-in, conical type burr grinder, the same type used by the professionals. Conical burr grinders are made up of a cone shaped grinding wheel that turns slow enough not to burn the coffee beans. The heavy-duty steel of the grinding wheel promotes a life of long service and that's strong enough to resist damage from the little stones that sometimes slip in with the beans.

The Bosch B20 Benevenuto also has a coffee bean storage hopper and internal dump box. Keep ½ pounds of beans fresh and ready for grinding in the built in, lidded coffee bean hopper. When the coffee grounds are spent, the machine delivers them to the internal dump box; which can hold up to 15 expended coffee portions. It's easy to remove and clean.

The Benevenuto is special, as it is one of the very few fully automated coffee centers in this price range that features a 1300 watt stainless steel lined thermoblock boiler. Using stainless steel improves coffee flavor and greatly increases the life span of the boiler. The Bosch coffee center is also unique in that it has a coffee dispensing nozzle that moves up or down to accept cup sizes up to 4.25 inches high.

The Benevenuto B20 must be cleaned periodically in order to keep the inside of the gourmet coffee machine healthy. The B20 will indicate when it's time to activate the self-clean system by displaying a message on the information screen. Waste water left over from the rinsing cycles is stored in removable drip tray that simply pulls out from the machine and reinserts in seconds. All components such as the used coffee grounds container, drip tray, and water tank can be hand washed with regular soap and water.
