The gourmet coffee machine also has a dial that controls the coffee strength from strong for espresso to mild for coffee. Adjust the dosage of ground coffee from 6-9 grams. The average shot of espresso uses about 7 grams of ground coffee. The knob on the side of the gourmet coffee and espresso machine controls the flow of steam or instant hot water. Utilize the flexibility of the Solis Master 5000's brewing options by varying the water volume up to 7 ounces per brewing cycle.

Residing just below the coffee bean hopper, the main cutting wheel is a conical burr grinding wheel which are ideal for coffee grinding because they are relatively quiet, powerful, tough, and virtually maintenance free when used in super automatic espresso machines. The grinder has 18 settings to fine tune the setting based on the blend of coffee. The coffee bean hopper holds up to ½ pound of coffee beans. The combination coffee and espresso machine can brew up to 20 cups of coffee or espresso before the internal coffee grounds waste box must be emptied.

In order to keep the inside of the Solis coffee machine healthy the Master 5000 must be cleaned periodically. Scale buildup from naturally occurring minerals in your water can build up on sensitive components like the inside of the boiler, which left unchecked can cause considerable damage to the Solis Master 5000. General maintenance is simple.
