The raised Booster Bath weighs twenty-two pounds so it is lightweight and portable yet it can hold up to 350 pounds! If the optional mobility ramp is used, any size dog can climb in by itself.
Dogs enter the bath tub through a U-shaped side entrance. A three-eighths inch thick rubberized non-slip mat cushions the tub floor. The fan shaped hose nozzle gives you one hand convenience, an easy on-off switch and water flow control with enough forceful pressure to quickly rinse out suds. The shampoo caddy is large enough to hold shampoo, conditioner and a brush all in one easy-to-reach location. A one-inch drain hole with a five-foot discharge line quickly drains the dog grooming tub and keeps water from pooling around your feet. Rubber bumpers on the tub legs help keep the dog wash tub stationary.
Follow these Manufacturer's user tips for a cleaner dog:- If you have an older dog that cannot climb, just put the booster bath tub on the ground (without the legs) and let the dog walk into the bathtub.
- After setting up your Booster Bath, encourage your dog to enter and exit a few times before bathing. You may want to have treats on hand and always remember to praise for good behavior.
- When first applying water, start by spraying low volume on their paws. This allows them to feel that warm water is coming. Avoid using cold water.
- When it's time to rinse out the shampoo, rinse it out thoroughly. Residual shampoo left on your dog can potentially cause skin irritation.
- It is always a good idea to save washing their head for last, as this will reduce shaking.
- Never spray water into your dogs ears, this can potentially cause ear infections. To avoid this when rinsing, cup your hand over their ear or simply pinch the ears shut with your hand.
- Always dry your dog thoroughly while still in the Booster Bath. In most cases medium to large dogs will require two towels, so it's a good idea to have them with you when you begin.
- Never leave your dog unattended in the Grooming Booster Bath.
