Wire is laid only three inches below ground so deep digging is not required.

The sleek, low profile, reflective Smart Dog electronic shock training collar uses a rechargeable NiMH battery, has a AA run back-up, weighs only 3.3 ounces and is waterproof, perfect for being out in the rain, snow or the lake.

The indoor wall mounted transmitter controls the fencing field through wires passed through the wall from the buried wires outside. Use the transmitter to adjust the strength of correction. A lightning protector is provided to keep a power surge caused from a lightning strike from destroying the transmitter.

When the dog approaches the boundary, the collar will emit a warning tone. Unless he turns back, a harmless electrical shock will be delivered. Run-through prevention automatically increases the correction level as your dog approaches the boundary and a timeout between corrections helps him learn his limits quickly. To ensure safety, over-stimulation prevention keeps correction to no more than ten seconds then blocks further corrections for ten more seconds before allow stimulation to continue.
