Detailed Product Description:
Patented InfraTemp™ technology ensures accurate measurements and comfortable readings when you are under the weather. The HoMedics easy to clean, instant ear thermometer needs no disposable probe covers for its antibacterial tip. The small infrared thermometer sends out 512 scanning sequences per second for accuracy.
The thermopile sensor 'looks' at the eardrum and measures its infrared emissions. These emissions are converted into a temperature. The IR thermometer then displays the reading on its 4 digit LED screen. Infrared ear thermometers are very accurate, up to a 10th of a degree.
The instant thermometer uses a 3 Volt lithium battery and gives approximately 1,000 uses per battery when used in Day Mode.
