Simulated sunlight with 10,000 lux at 14 inches; 5000 lux at 21 inches or 2500 lux at 31 inches. LUX is the measurement at a specific distance away from a light source; for light therapy units the distance is specifically at the user's eye. Treatment using bright light therapy requires a minimum of 2,500 LUX to be affective.
