LUX is the measurement at a specific distance away from a light source; for light therapy units the distance is specifically at the user's eye. Bend the flexible neck down and it makes a full spectrum glare-free task light for home, office, crafts and hobbies. Bend the neck upwards positioning the light towards your eyes for therapeutic simulated sunlight. Do not look directly at the light. Treatment using bright light therapy requires a minimum of 2,500 LUX to be affective.
