This HealthStation uses BIO (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) to measure BF, TBW, and MM percentages. BIA sends an unnoticeable, low intensity electrical signal through the body. The signal is very low and causes no bodily harm. The signal flows with a different degree of difficulty depending upon the individual's body fat level. This difficulty is called electrical impedance is how BF, TBW and MM percentages can be estimated.
