It is not suggested that the wine cellar be placed in the garage due to volatile external temperature ranges.

The way the wine cooler is designed, there are multi zones inside the refrigerator unit without having to create a separation which would remove valuable bottle space. We have had our 58S for a couple of years and we had absolutely no problems, in fact we had originally bought it just for wine and installed it in our kitchen, but later discovered that the lower racks if removed would allow for us to use it as a "beverage center" and we now use it for not only wine on the upper racks, but for cold drinks such as bottled water, vitamin water, iced tea, etc.... well you get the idea, and now we aren't filling out kitchen frigerator with all the drinks that we might grab on the way out the door and have more room for other things.
