This Japanese, penhold-style racket is perfect at intermediate competition for drive-attacking play at mid distances. The Shido combines Pan-Asia rubber with a special two-millimeter sponge to give you superior spin, speed, and control during your game. Lightweight and well-balanced, the Shido is constructed of a five-ply Maplewood. The Butterfly Shido Ping Pong Racket is suitable for play at close and mid distances. The Shido penhold style offers a high level of control and is excellent for the all-around style of play. The backside is painted black to legalize the racket for tournament play. Penhold rackets feature rubber on only one side of the racket, since this grip style uses the same side of the racket to execute both forehand and backhand shots. The handle is shorter than a shakehand racket. This racket is approved by the USATT and ITTF. |
